Wellington Leadership Summit gets students rocking

Miss Kansas Theresa Vail.By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The 2014 Sumner County Leadership Summit was in full swing today at Wellington High School.The event featured two speakers: Bill Cordes, a motivational speaker (in video above); and Miss Kansas Theresa Vail, who spoke to high school students from Wellington, Oxford, Caldwell, Belle Plaine, South Haven and Argonia from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.The Summit is organized by Karla Defore’s Leadership Classes and partnered with the Sumner County Community Drug Action Team. There will also be leadership seminars and luncheons in which schools will be broken down into small groups for team building and ice-breaking activities.Some of the sights seen during the day.Small leadership group sessions were featured at the start of the day.center_img Close Forgot password?
